Getting the Goat Horn in Minecraft

The Goat Horn item is dropped by a goat when it rams into a solid block. An adult goat will drop a maximum of two Goat Horns. A goat can charge a mob that isn’t a Ghast or another goat from up to 16 blocks away every 30 seconds to five minutes. The easiest way to get a Goat Horn is to simply hide behind a tree when you’ve found a goat and have got within range for it to charge at you.

What the Goat Horn Is Used For

When pressing the ‘use’ button (RT/ R2/ LMB) when holding the Goat Horn, you’ll hear a horn noise. It may sound familiar, as it’s also the horn sound heard when you’re being raided. More importantly, the Goat Horn is also a crafting ingredient for the Copper Horn.

Crafting Ingredient for the Copper Horn

The Goat Horn is also used as a crafting ingredient in the Copper Horn. It must be placed in the middle of a 3×3 crafting grid, with a copper ingot to the left, right and directly beneath it. The Copper Horn can play three different sounds, depending on whether the player is looking up, crouching, or just standing normally. There’s also 10 variations of Copper Horns, each of which plays three slightly different sounds to the others. That’s everything you need to know about the Minecraft Goat Horn.
